Disassembly

NOTE: Disconnect driveshaft from transmission.

Disconnect the front drive axle shaft from the intermediate shaft.

Clamp the intermediate shaft in a vice.
Disconnect and discard clamping collars. Slide the cover back.

2. Disconnect the tripod joint. Remove grease.

3. Pull back and remove the tripod pivot assembly. Remove retaining ring.

4. Pull back and remove the tripod pivot assembly. Detach the cover from the side of the wheel.

5. Detach the cover from the side of the wheel.

Remove the cover from the transmission side.
Remove the cover from the transmission side.
General comment.

Assembly

1. Replace retaining rings and clamps. Put on the cover from the side of the wheel and stretch it in the direction of the gearbox.

NOTE: Put on the boot from the side of the wheel and stretch it towards the gearbox.

Attach the cover to the side of the wheel.

Stuff the axle joint using approximately 60 g of outer joint grease (initial filling volume 100 g).
Press the cover into the groove on the axle shaft.

1.Install the protective cover in the desired position and remove the screwdriver.
2. Place the small and large clamps in the ring groove of the boot and tighten them with the clamping wrench (shown from gearbox side).

3. Insert the small and large clamps into the annular groove of the boot and tighten them with the special tool (left side of gearbox shown).

4. Establish a cover from outside a transmission. Place the boot clamp into the groove on the boot and tighten it with a clamping tool.

CAUTION: Secure the tripod joint assembly.

Install the tripod joint assembly. Using the special tool, install the beam element of the tripod joint on the axle shaft of the front drive axle and push it until it stops.
