Brake fluid reservoir — removal and installation

All cars

1.
WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with the paintwork, the affected area must be washed immediately with cold water.


Disconnect the plug connector on the filler cap.
  • 1.Pull back the tongue.
  • 2.Press on the clips.
  • 3.Disconnect the plug connector.

CAUTION: Keep the filler cap free of dirt.


Remove the filler cap of the hydraulic brake reservoir.



3. Using a suitable clean syringe, remove the brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir.



4. Establish a cover of a jellied mouth of a tank of a hydraulic drive of brakes.


5. Disconnect the tank.



6. Remove the screw on the central electrical box.



7. Disconnect the plug connector.

CAUTION: Plug brake lines to prevent leakage of brake fluid and ingress of dirt.


Disconnect the brake master cylinder supply hose.



Vehicles with manual transmission


9.
CAUTION: Plug brake lines to prevent leakage of brake fluid and ingress of dirt.


Disconnect the clutch master cylinder supply hose.



All cars

10. Disconnect the brake fluid reservoir harness.



Installation


1.
NOTE: After installation, bleed the brake system. See Section 206-00 for more information.


When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
