Withdrawal
1. Remove the steering gear. For more information, refer to the Power Steering section of this section.
2. Using the special tool, remove the support bushings.
3. Thoroughly clean and visually inspect the hub body for signs of damage. If the housing is damaged, install a new steering gear. For more information, refer to the Power Steering section of this section.
Installation
All cars

NOTE: Lubricate the new bushing with a suitable rubber lubricant.
Using the special tool, install new bearing bushings.
Left hand drive vehicles
2. Using the special tools, ensure that the support bushings are set to the correct depth.
Right hand drive vehicles
3. Using the special tools, ensure that the support bushings are set to the correct depth.
All cars
4. Install the steering gear. For more information, refer to the Power Steering section of this section.
