Teflon Seal Expander 211-188 (13-015)

General equipment: Hose clamp.

Withdrawal


1. Remove the accessory drive belt. See Section 303-05 for more information.

2. NOTE: Using a hose clamp, pinch the power steering hose.

Disconnect the power steering hose. Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.



3. Turn out the bottom bolts of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of a steering.



4. Lower the car.


5. Remove the air duct coming from the charge air cooler (CAC) to the intake manifold.
  • 1.Release the clips.
  • 2. Loosen the nut.
  • 3.Remove the air duct.



6. Disconnect the power steering line support brackets.



7. Disconnect the fuel filter and place it aside.



8. Disconnect the nipple connection of the power steering line. Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.




9. Remove the power steering pump.



Installation


1.
NOTE: When installing a new power steering pump, the nipples that come with the pump should be removed and stored for later use.


Using the special tool, install a new O-ring on the nipple connection of the pipe from the steering box to the power steering pump.
  • 1.Place a new seal on the special tool.
  • 2.Install the special tool on the nipple and install the O-ring in the required position.



2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

NOTE: Do not fully tighten bolts at this stage.


Install the power steering pump.



4. Connect the power steering hose.



5. Lower the car.

6. Install the power steering pump top bolts.



7. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

8. Tighten the power steering pump lower bolts.




9. Lower the car.

10. Connect the nipple connection of the power steering line.



11. Install the fuel filter (in the presence of).



12. Establish basic arms of highways of the amplifier of a steering.



13. Install the air duct from the CAC to the intake manifold.
  • 1.Install the duct.
  • 2. Tighten the clamps.
  • 3. Screw on the nut.



14. Put on the accessory drive belt. See Section 303-05 for more information.

15. Add working fluid to the power steering system and bleed air from the system. See Section 211-00 for more information.
