Shelf for battery installation — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the battery. For more information, refer to the Battery chapter available in this section.

2. Disconnect the wire clamps "masses" and battery power wires from the battery shelf.



3. Disconnect the starter solenoid harness clamp from the battery shelf.



4. Disconnect the battery cable clamp from the battery shelf.



5. Disconnect the engine compartment temperature sensor from the battery tray (in the presence of).

CAUTION: Remove the bolts in the sequence shown.

Remove the battery shelf.

• 1. Turn out the lower bolts.
• 2. Turn out the top bolt.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Do not tighten the battery mounting bolts at this stage.

Install the battery-to-battery shelf bolts.

CAUTION: Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

Tighten the battery shelf bolts.

• 1. Tighten the top bolt.
• 2. Tighten the bottom bolts.

3. Connect engine room temperature sensor to battery tray (in the presence of).



4. Connect the positive battery cable clamp to the battery box.



5. Connect the starter solenoid harness clamp to the battery shelf.




6. Connect the wire clamps "masses" and battery power wires to the battery shelf.



7. Install the battery. For more information, refer to the Battery chapter available in this section.
