Battery Shelf (1.6L Duratec)

Withdrawal

1. Remove the battery. For more information, refer to the Battery chapter available in this section.

2. Disconnect the battery cables from the battery shelf.



3. Disconnect the starter solenoid harness from the battery shelf.



4. Disconnect the battery cables from the battery shelf.



5. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the battery shelf.

CAUTION: To avoid damage to the battery shelf, remove the bolts in the sequence shown.

Turn out bolts of fastening of the shelf of the accumulator.

• 1. Remove the top bolt.
• 2. Turn out the lower bolts.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
