Adjusting the air gap of the air conditioning clutch

1. Check the air gap "A" between the drive disk and the pulley at points located at 60 degrees on the circumference. For more information, please refer to the Specifications chapter available in this section.

• 1. Belt pulley
• 2. Distance washers
• 3. Drive disc

NOTE: The refrigerant circuit, if possible, should remain closed.

If the air gap "A" out of tolerance, the air conditioning compressor must be removed. See Section 412-03 for more information.

• If necessary, tie the compressor with wire.

3. Disconnect the drive disk.



4. If necessary, adjust the air gap using spacers.

5. Install the drive disk.

6. Check the air gap "A", proceeding in accordance with point 1. If necessary, repeat steps 3-6.

7. Install the air conditioning compressor. See Section 412-03 for more information.
