Withdrawal
All cars
1. Drain the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. See Section 412-00 for more information.
2. Raise the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

NOTE: Coolant must not be drained from the cooling system.
Remove the radiator shroud.

CAUTION: Plug the refrigerant lines and the A/C condenser to prevent dirt from entering them.
Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser.
Common Rail Fuel Injection Vehicles

CAUTION: Plug the refrigerant lines and the A/C condenser to prevent dirt from entering them.
Disconnect the upper refrigerant line from the condenser.

CAUTION: Plug the refrigerant lines and the A/C condenser to prevent dirt from entering them.
Disconnect the lower refrigerant line from the condenser.
All cars
7.
CAUTION: Support the radiator cross member using a transmission jack or similar device.
Release the radiator cross member (left side shown).
8. Remove the air conditioning condenser.
- 1. Release the capacitor (one side shown).
- 2. Pull the condenser aside.
Installation
1.
NOTE: Install new O-rings on the refrigerant lines.
NOTE: Apply clean refrigerant oil to the O-rings on the refrigerant lines before installation.
Install the elements in place, working in reverse order.
