Low pressure switch — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the power steering expansion tank from the wheel arch panel and place it on the side.



2. Disconnect the low pressure switch electrical connector.



3. Start the engine and turn the air conditioning switch (A/C) to the on position.

NOTE: Make sure the A/C compressor is running when the low pressure switch is removed.

Connect the connecting wire with a 20 A fuse between pins 1 and 4 of the low pressure switch electrical connector, on the wiring side.

WARNING: Make sure the low pressure switch valve closes completely after removing the low pressure switch to prevent loss of refrigerant. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

Remove the low pressure switch.

• Discard O-rings of circular cross-section.

Installation

NOTE: Install new low pressure switch o-rings.

NOTE: Coat the O-rings on the low pressure switch with clean coolant oil before installation.

To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
