Withdrawal
CAUTION: The water separator should only be replaced if, for an extended period of time, (2 - 3 hours) moisture could enter the open system.
1. Drain the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Refer to Section 412-00 for more information.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for more information.
3. Remove engine protection (in the presence of).
4. Remove the right wheel arch trim panel (for clarity, the wheel is shown removed).

CAUTION: Plug the refrigerant lines and water separator to prevent dirt from entering them.
Remove the water separator.
- 1. Using the special tool, disconnect the refrigerant line from the water separator.
- 2. Disconnect the refrigerant line from the water separator.
- 3. Loosen and remove the water separator nuts and bolts.
Installation

NOTE: Install new O-rings on the refrigerant lines.
NOTE: Before installing the O-rings on the refrigerant lines, coat them with clean refrigerant oil.
Install the elements in place, working in reverse order.
