Operating principle
The horn system consists of a relay, a switch located on the steering wheel, and one or two horns. Sound signal (s) receives voltage from the switch side of the relay, and the relay switch on the ground side is controlled by a switch located on the steering wheel.
The horn relay is located in the central electrical junction box (CJB) and receives constant voltage from the battery electrical junction box (BJB).
The steering wheel switch uses the steering wheel clock spring in conjunction with the airbag electrical circuit, however, each of these systems operates completely independently of the other.
