Withdrawal
1. Remove the driver's airbag module. See Section 501-20A / 501-20B for more information.

WARNING: The airbag module should only be turned over for as long as it takes to remove the contact plate. Follow this procedure with extreme care, making sure that if this procedure is interrupted for any possible reason, the airbag module is turned to the required side up with the bezel on top. Failure to follow these instructions may increase the risk of premature deployment of the air bag and result in personal injury.
Disconnect the left and right electrical connectors from the contact plate.
- Release the retaining tabs located on the back of each connector.
3. Remove the contact plate.
- 1. Remove four wedges.
NOTE: The contact plate holds the four springs of the horn contact plate in position. Before removing the contact plate, mark their position and installation diagram.
- 2. Remove the contact plate.
Installation

WARNING: Before installing the contact plate, make sure that the horn contact plate springs are correctly attached to the rear side of the air bag module.
To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
