Self test
This module has a self-test function that can be activated manually. If the self-test mode is activated, the central guard unit (CSM) produces visual and audible signals each time the input signal is activated.
The ignition must be in the OFF position to activate the self-test mode (off). Press the interior lamp switch six times within eight seconds. Once the CSM module enters the self-test mode, the module will sound the horn and turn signals once to acknowledge the input signal. The following are the input signals to the CSM that can be checked in the CSM self-test mode:
- remote transmitter
- Hood switch
- Switch for interior lamps in the driver's door
- Passenger door interior lamp switch
- Interior lamp switch in tailgate
- Driver's Door Lock Motor On/Off Switch
- Passenger Door Lock Motor On/Off Switch
- Tailgate anti-theft lock switch
- Lock/unlock switches built into the power door lock actuator
- ignition switch
- Trigger triggered when trying to dismantle the radio
- Tailgate release switch
