Inspection and verification
1. Check the validity of the customer's complaint.
2. Perform a visual check for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

3. If there is an obvious cause for a noted or received complaint, troubleshoot (if it is possible) before moving on to the next step.
4. If the cause is not visually obvious, check the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

Self-diagnosis mode
1. To enter the Self-diagnosis mode of the telematics system, turn on the audio unit.
2. Press the MENU button on the audio unit until PHONE appears.
3. To enter the Self-diagnostic mode, press the presetting buttons of the audio unit in the following sequence for no more than five seconds: 6, 6, 1 and 6.
4. If the message SYS OK appears, there are no problems with the telematics system.
5. To navigate through the telematics system trouble codes in Self-Diagnostic Mode, press the SEEK UP or SEEK DOWN buttons on the audio unit.
NOTE: When you exit the diagnostic mode, all fault codes stored in memory are deleted.
6. To exit the Self-diagnosis mode, press any button on the audio unit that is not related to the telematics system, or on the MENU button on the audio unit.
