Withdrawal


1. Remove the lower footwell trim panel.



2. Open the glove compartment.

3. Remove the footwell ventilation duct. Disconnect the hose.



4. Close the glove compartment.

5. Disconnect the blower fan motor electrical connector.



6. Remove the blower fan motor.



Installation


NOTE: Procedure to follow when whistling noises occur in the heating system.



1.
NOTE: Set the air distribution switch to "At head level", set the temperature control to "MAX. cooling".


Remove the central ventilation nozzle and open the glove compartment.



2. Unfasten the air duct for the anti-icing jet on the passenger side and position it on the open lid of the glove compartment.

NOTE: Do not allow any elements of the connecting shank to get past the instrument panel.


Remove the two-piece plastic connecting shank located on the heater body.
  • Cut the connecting shank at the top using side cutters, break it at the bottom and discard.



4. Cut out the insulation tape in the shape of a 50x50mm square.

WARNING: Sharpen the edges of the heater body.


Check that there is a gap in the heater body, fix the insulating tape over the gap from the inside and press firmly on the insulating tape.

NOTE: Install the duct tape in the position shown. Installation of the insulating tape above the position shown in the illustration is not allowed.

6. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
