Inspection and verification
1. Check the customer's complaint by using the system.
2. Perform a visual check for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

3. If an obvious cause of a problem noted or described by the customer is found, correct it before proceeding to the next steps (if possible).
4. If visual inspection does not show the cause of the complaint, check the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.
