Disassembly
1. Remove axle seals (left side shown).
2. Using the special tool, remove the differential bearing outer races (left side shown).
3. Using the special tool, remove the final drive gear bearing outer race.
4. Using the special tool, remove the outer races of the gear shaft bearings (left side shown).

NOTE: Mark the location of the outlet in the funnel relative to the bottom of the crankcase.
NOTE: Inspect outlet port for foreign material.
Remove the funnel.
6. Rotate the transaxle 180 degrees.
7. Using the special tool, remove the final drive gear bearing outer race.
Assembly
1.
NOTE: Torque converter housing bearing outer races for the pinion shaft bearing and differential case bearing will be installed when the transaxle is assembled into the drive axle assembly.
Using the special tool, install the final drive gear bearing outer race.
2. Rotate the transaxle 180 degrees.
3.
NOTE: Mark the position of the outlet.
NOTE: Inspect outlet port for foreign material.
Install funnel.
4. Using the special tool, install the outer races of the gear shaft bearings (left side shown).
5. Using the special tool, install the final drive gear bearing outer race (left side shown).
6. Using the special tool, install the differential case bearing outer races (left side shown).
7. Using the special tool, install the axle seals (left side shown).
