Cooling fan motor (1.6L Duratec)

Installation

1. Disconnect the plug connector of the electric cooling fan.



2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Remove the motor protection.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to release the cooling fan and associated shroud.

Disconnect the cooling fan and related shroud from the radiator.

• 1.Release the radiator clamps.
• 2.Allow the cooling fan and shroud to lift up.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to release the cooling fan and associated shroud.

Remove the cooling fan and related shroud from the radiator.

• 1.Release the radiator clamps.
• 2.Remove the cooling fan and the corresponding shroud.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
