Radiator (1.6L Zetec-SE / 1.4L) — removal and installation

Special tool

Coolant hose clamp remover/installer 303-397 (24-003)

Withdrawal

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. For more information, refer to the chapter Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding Air from the Cooling System found in this section.

2. Disconnect the fan wiring connector.



3. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

4. Using the special tool, disconnect the top hose.



5. Using the special tool, disconnect the bottom hose.




6. Disconnect the expansion tank hose.



7. Disconnect and release the horn connector.



8. Remove a radiator in gathering with a casing.

• Turn out the right and left bolts of fastening of a basic arm of a radiator.
• Remove a radiator in gathering with a casing.

9. Remove the shroud from the radiator.

• 1.Release the cover.
• 2.Remove shroud from radiator.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.



3. Fill the cooling system. For more information, refer to the chapter Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding Air from the Cooling System found in this section.
