Withdrawal


1. Remove camshafts. For more information, refer to the chapter Camshafts available in this section.

2. Remove the ignition coil and capacitor.



3. Connect special tools. Supply compressed air with pressure (7-10) bar to cylinder.



4. Using the special tool, remove the valve spring.


  • Compress the valve spring.
  • Remove crackers, spring plates and spring.



5. Using the special tool, remove the valve stem seal.



6. Repeat the above steps for all valves.

Installation


1. Slide the packing sleeve onto the valve stem.



2.
CAUTION: Valve stem seals for intake valves are green and for exhaust valves are brown.



Install the valve stem oil seal.
  • Coat the valve stem and seal lip with engine oil.
  • Push the valve stem seal onto the valve stem.
  • Install the valve spring cap and valve spring.
  • Compress the valve springs using the special tool and remove the packing bushing from the valve stem.
  • Using the special tool, install the cotters on the valve stem.



4. Repeat the above steps for all valves.

5. Disconnect special tools.



6. Install the ignition coil and capacitor.
