Withdrawal


All cars

1. Remove clutch. Refer to Section 308-01A / 308-01B / 308-01C for more information.

2. Remove the flywheel.



3. Remove the adapter plate.



Vehicles with an air conditioning system.

4. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for more information.

5. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor (A/C) from the support bracket and secure it aside.



All cars


6. Drain engine oil. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.

NOTE: Inspect the oil drain plug seal for damage. Install a new drain plug and seal if necessary.


Install drain plug.



8. Remove the oil pan. Discard the gasket as it is no longer needed.



Installation


All cars

1. Using a suitable spatula, remove all traces of sealant or gasket residue from mating surfaces.

CAUTION: Install the oil pan gasket within five minutes of applying the sealant.


Apply sealant to the cylinder block joints.

NOTE: Do not fully tighten the oil pan bolts at this stage.



Using a suitable steel ruler, align the position of the oil sump with respect to the cylinder block.

  • Maximum "retreat" oil sump: 0.25 mm.
  • Maximum protrusion of the oil sump: 0.10 mm.



4. Tighten the oil sump bolts in sequence (stage 1).



5. Tighten the oil sump bolts in the sequence shown (stage 2).



Vehicles with an air conditioning system.


6. Connect the air conditioning compressor (A/C) to the support bracket.



7. Put on the accessory drive belt. See Section 303-05 for more information.

All cars

8. Install the adapter plate.



9. Install the flywheel.



10. Install the clutch. See Section 308-01A / 308-01B / 308-01C for more information.

11. Lower the car.

12. Fill the engine with engine oil. For more information, please refer to the chapter Specification available in this section.
