Camshaft pushers — removal and installation

Special tool

	Adapter for 303-035 (Support blocks) 303-035-01 (21-005B-01)
	Air adapter (to the cylinder head) 303-363 (21-157)
	Valve Spring Compressor 303-461 (21-194)
	Adapter for 303-461 303-461-01 (21-194-01)

Withdrawal

1. Remove the cylinder head cover. For more information, refer to the Cylinder Head Cover chapter available in this section.

2. Remove spark plugs (for clarity, the engine is shown removed).



3. Using a special tool, apply compressed air to the appropriate cylinder at a pressure of approximately 7-10 bar.



4. Install the special tool.



5. Using the special tool, remove the exhaust valve tappet.



6. Using the special tool, remove the intake valve tappet.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
