The fuel distribution manifold is a galvanized steel manifold with stamped bosses for the injectors. The fuel manifold is attached to the engine with two bolts.
The fuel pressure sensor mounts directly to the fuel rail and is secured with two bolts. Sealing is provided by two O-rings.
The fuel injectors are mounted directly to the fuel rail and are secured by the fuel rail itself when connected to the intake manifold. Sealing is provided by upper and lower O-rings. Fuel injectors are sequentially activated by the powertrain control module (PCM), which changes the amount of fuel by adjusting the opening time of the fuel injectors according to the operating conditions of the engine.
