WARNING: Do not smoke or walk with a lit cigarette or any type of open flame while working on or near fuel related components. In such situations, there are always highly flammable mixtures that can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
WARNING: After the ignition is switched off, the fuel supply system remains pressurized for an extended period of time. Depressurize the fuel system before beginning any repair. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
Remove the fuel pump fuse.
2. Start the engine and let it idle until it stalls.
3. Crank the engine for approximately five seconds to ensure there is no pressure in the fuel rail.
4. Install the fuel pump fuse.
