Fuel pump module — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the fuel tank. For more information, refer to the chapter Fuel tank available in this section.

2. Disconnect the supply and return fuel lines from the module.



3. Using the special tool, remove the circlip.

CAUTION: When removing the fuel pump module, make sure the float and lever are not damaged.

Remove the fuel pump module.

• 1. Rotate the module counterclockwise.
• 2. Lift and remove the module from the fuel tank.

5. Remove retaining ring seal and discard.

Installation

NOTE: Make sure the arrows on the fuel tank and fuel pump module are correctly aligned.

NOTE: Install a new snap ring seal and make sure it is properly seated on the fuel tank.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
