Removal and installation of a cover of the hatch of a bulk pipe of a fuel tank

You will need: TORX T20 wrench, Phillips screwdriver.

1. Remove the right rear fender liner (cm. «Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner»).



2. In the arch of the right rear wheel, disconnect the block of the wiring harness from the drive of the lock of the hatch cover of the fuel tank filler pipe by depressing the latch of the fastening of the block.



3. Screw in the screws securing the fuel tank filler pipe to the side of the body..



4.... and the right rear spar.




5. Move the filling pipe to the side, as far as the flexibility of the hoses allows, and remove the neck of the pipe from the gasket of its manhole cover.



6. Remove the hatch cover assembly with the seal from the hatch in the wing by depressing the two seal latches with a screwdriver (the photo shows one latch, the second is located on the other side of the seal).



7. Prying off the harness holder with a screwdriver..




8.... disconnect the harness from the seal of the manhole cover of the fuel tank filler pipe..



9.... and remove the cover assembly with the bracket and seal.



10. Press the retainer with a screwdriver..



11.... and disconnect the cover from the bracket.

NOTE: If it is necessary to remove the cover directly (e.g. for selecting paint for bodywork), the cover bracket may or may not be removed from the vehicle. Just remove the cover from the bracket (see paragraphs. 10 and 11 above in this subsection).

12. Establish a cover of the hatch of a bulk pipe of a fuel tank and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
