To remove the hood latch do the following.
1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.
2. Remove the grille (cm. «Removal and installation of facing of a radiator»).
NOTE: Removing the radiator grille is necessary to disengage the drive shaft from the hood latch.
3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl to a framework of a motor compartment.
4. Squeeze the two lock latches..
5.... and disconnect the lock from the frame.
6. Squeezing the clamp of the wiring harness block..
7.... disconnect the block from the lock and remove the lock.
8. Install the hood latch in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the hood lock, lubricate its locking mechanism with grease, such as lithol.
9. If, after installation, the lock does not lock clearly or is difficult to unlock, adjust its position. Loosen the bolts of the lock and moving it vertically within the oval holes of the body achieve a clear operation.
To remove the hood latch do the following.
1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.
2. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a latch to the amplifier of a cowl and remove a latch, taking out it through a window in the amplifier.
3. Establish a latch of the lock of a cowl in an order, the return to removal.
4. If, after installing the latch, the lock locks with a blow, loosen the latch mounting bolts and, moving it in a horizontal direction in the desired direction within the oval openings of the body, achieve shockless locking of the lock.
To remove the hood latch do the following.
1. Remove the grille (cm. «Removal and installation of facing of a radiator»).
2. On the reverse side of the cladding, wring out two latches..
3.... and remove the drive from the lining socket.
4. Establish a drive of the lock of a cowl in an order, the return to removal.
5. If it is necessary to replace the factory emblem, which simultaneously serves as a cover for the hood lock actuator cylinder, unscrew the emblem mounting screw and remove it together with the spring.
6. Install the factory emblem in the reverse order of removal, after winding its spring a few turns.
