Removal and installation of the electronic control unit of the additional passive safety system

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the field tunnel lining, as well as a TORX T30 wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (cm. «Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining»).



3. Press the clamp of the small block of the wiring harness..



4.... and disconnect the block from the control unit of the additional passive safety system.



5. Press on the retainer of the large block of the wiring harness..




6.... unfasten the holder..



7.... and disconnect the block from the block.



8. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the control unit to the basis of a body …



9.... and remove the block.

NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the control unit, for replacement, purchase a unit with the same marking.

NOTE: The control unit can only be installed on the vehicle in one position, however, for control, pay attention to the arrow on its label: it must be directed forward in the direction of the vehicle.

10. Establish the electronic control unit of system of passive safety and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
