Removal and installation of a windscreen wiper trapezoid assembly with a gearmotor

You will need a socket «on 10».

1. Remove windshield wiper arms (cm. «Replacing Windshield Wiper Arms»).

NOTE: The wiper arms can be removed with the wipers.

2. Remove the air box grille and plenum plate (cm. «Removal and installation of the grille of the air supply box and the drain shield»).



3. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a trapezium of a screen wiper of a wind window to a board of a bulkhead of a body.



4. Remove the trapezoid assembly with the gearmotor from the air intake box, press the retainer of the windshield wiper wiring harness block..



5.... disconnect the shoe from the gearmotor..




6.... and remove the windshield wiper trapezoid assembly with the gearmotor.

NOTE: The windshield wiper trapezoid is a one-piece design. If there is increased play in its hinges or if the levers are damaged, replace the trapezoid assembly. The geared motor can be detached from the trapezoid (cm. «Replacing the windshield wiper gearmotor»).

7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
