Removal and installation of a back nave

You will need a TORX T50 key.

1. Loosen the wheel bolts.

2. Engage first gear and chock the front wheels. Raise and secure the rear of the vehicle.

3. Remove the corresponding wheel.



4. Remove the brake drum (cm. «Removal and installation of a brake drum»).

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the brake disc and brake shield.


5. On vehicles equipped with ABS, disconnect the harness connector from the sensor located at the rear of the hub.



6. Turn out four screws of fastening of a nave.



NOTE: This is how the rear hub screws are located.





7. Remove the hub while holding the brake shield..



8.... and fix the shield by inserting the hub mounting screw into one of the holes.



9. If it is necessary to remove the brake shield, bend the lock with a screwdriver..



10.... and disconnect the parking brake cable.




11. Remove the brake hose (cm. «Replacement of brake hoses»), and then remove the brake shield.

12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

13. If the brake hose was removed, bleed the air from the hydraulic brake system (cm. «Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system»).
