Replacing parts of the rear suspension anti-roll bar

You will need: key «at 15», hex key «by 5», end head «at 13», flat blade screwdriver.

To replace parts of the anti-roll bar of the rear suspension with strutswith ball joints perform the following operations.



1. Loosen the ball joint pin nut while holding the pin from turning.



2. Turn away a nut of fastening of a rack to a crossbar of a suspension bracket, keeping a rack from turning.

NOTE: If it is necessary to replace only the stabilizer links, then finally unscrew the nuts securing the pivot pins to the stabilizer bar..




NOTE:...press the stabilizer bar down..





NOTE: …and remove the stands.




3. Turn out on two bolts of fastening of brackets of the stabilizer..



4.... and remove the stabilizer bar assembly with struts, cushions and mounting brackets.

5. Turn away nuts of fastening of racks to a bar and remove racks.



6. Pry with a screwdriver..




7.... and remove the stabilizer bar mounting bracket.



8. Unclench the rubber pad..



9.... and remove it from the stabilizer bar.



10. Establish new pillows and press on brackets of fastening of the stabilizer.


11. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

To replace parts of the anti-roll bar of the rear suspension with strutswithout ball joints perform the following operations.

1. Remove the springs (cm. «Replacing the rear suspension spring»).

2. Loosen nut 1 (pic. 7.4) fastening the rack 10, keeping it from turning.

3. Turn out on two bolts 8 fastenings of brackets 9 of the stabilizer and remove a bar 7 of the stabilizer of cross-section stability in gathering with jays, pillows and fastening brackets.

4. Remove rubber bushings 2 from the rack and remove the rack from the stabilizer bar.

5. Remove the brackets 9 for attaching the stabilizer and the rubber split cushions from the bar 7 of the stabilizer.




6. Establish new pillows and press on brackets of fastening of the stabilizer.



7. Install a spacer 184 mm high and 20 mm wide between the rear lower arm of the rear suspension and the upper spring plate, jack up the trailing arm to clamp the spacer.

NOTE: This operation must be performed on both sides of the vehicle.


8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
