Replacing the ignition switch (lock) cylinder

You will need: flat blade screwdriver, pin ∅ 2 mm.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the top..



3.... and the lower part of the casing of the steering column (cm. «Removal and installation of a casing of a steering column»).



4. Press the retainer of the immobilizer antenna unit with a screwdriver..

NOTE: Steering wheel, shift paddles and connector removed for clarity.

5.... and take the block aside without disconnecting the wire from it.

NOTE: For clarity, further operations are shown on the removed switch (castle) ignition.

6. Insert the key into the switch and turn it to the «I».



7. Insert a pin into the hole located in the lower part of the switch body, press the latch..



8.... and remove the lock cylinder from the body.

9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
