The license plate lights are installed in the trim on the trunk lid (tailgate). They can be removed as an assembly with an overlay (cm. «Removal and installation of a decorative overlay of a door of a back») or separate from it. This subsection describes how to remove the license plate lights without removing the trim.
You will need a Phillips screwdriver.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Turn out two screws of fastening of a lantern of illumination of license plate.
3. Remove the lamp from the decorative trim.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness pads and remove the license plate light.
5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
