At present, cars are factory-equipped with the minimum possible set of tools, with which you can only change a wheel or a burned-out lamp.
We therefore recommend that you always keep the following additional accessories, tools and spare parts in your vehicle.
Tools and accessories (pic. 2.1):
1 - first aid kit (automotive), approved by the order of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Russia dated April 1, 2002 No. 106;
2 – spare wheel;
3 - hammer;
4 - emergency stop sign;
5 - fire extinguisher;
6 - a set of combined (or in extreme cases carob) keys to «8» before «24»;
7 - wheel chock («shoe»);
8 - additional key for wheel bolts;
9 - portable lamp;
10 - pliers;
11 - two screwdrivers (with cross and flat blades);
12 - tire pump with pressure gauge;
13 - mounting blade;
14 - wires for starting the engine from an external source;
15 - towing cable.
Spare parts (pic. 2.2):
1 - antifreeze of the same brand as that poured into your car;
2 - a set of high-voltage wires;
3 - a set of spark plugs;
4 - a set of fuses, fuses and relays;
5 - a set of spare lamps (half of all lamps installed on the car, excluding repetitive ones);
6 - brake fluid.
NOTE: If you are skilled enough to troubleshoot moderate faults on the road, you can optionally bring an accessory drive belt with you.
A roll of electrical tape, a bottle of WD-40 type multi-purpose grease, a plastic bottle of water may come in handy (1–2 l), tire valve spool, sealant for express repair of tubeless tires, hose for pumping hydraulic drives. In order to ensure safety when lifting the car with a jack, two wheel wedges are required. Well, in winter or when traveling out of town, you may need a small shovel.
