Checking and replacing the air filter element

You will need: T25 TORX wrench, flat blade screwdriver.



1. Remove the air supply sleeve (cm. «Removing and installing the air filter and intake silencer»).



2. Slide the lock with a screwdriver..



3.... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor.

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the air supply sleeve and disconnect the block from the sensor; you can remove the air filter cover with it. However, it is more convenient to perform operations by removing the air supply sleeve and disconnecting the wiring harness block from the sensor.

4. Remove six screws..



5.... remove the air filter cover...



6.... and remove the filter element from the filter housing.




7. Inspect the filter element. Blow it out with compressed air. Replace heavily soiled filter element.

8. If necessary, remove dust and dirt from the air filter housing.

9. Install a new filter element in the housing.

NOTE: The filter element is rectangular in shape to match the shape of the air filter housing, so incorrect installation of the element is impossible.

10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
