Checking the accessory drive belt

1. Remove the right front wheel (cm. «Wheel replacement»).

2. Remove fender liner (cm. «Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner»).



3. Check belt tension. A properly tensioned belt should rotate 90°with finger force 15–20 N (1.5–2 kgf). If the belt is loose (stretched during use), it needs to be replaced (cm. «Accessory drive belt replacement»).

4. Check the condition of the belt by visual inspection. If the belt shows signs of severe wear or is oily, it must be replaced (cm. «Accessory drive belt replacement»).

5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
