Replacement of pillows of a suspension bracket of system of release of the fulfilled gases

The rubber suspension pads of the exhaust system are replaced if, due to their damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock, in contact with the body or other vehicle components.

You will need a flat blade screwdriver.

...and the rear of the main muffler are suspended on three identical cushions..



... and the front of the main muffler..




... and the exhaust pipe - on two pillows that differ in shape and color.



1. To replace the collector suspension pads and the rear of the main muffler, slide the pad off the collector bracket with a screwdriver (or muffler), and then from the bracket on the subframe (on the body).

GOOD ADVICE: If you are replacing a damaged cushion, cut it with a knife to the holes to make it easier to remove.

2. Install a new cushion in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate the installation of the pillow, grease the brackets of the collector with soapy water (muffler) and subframe (body).



3. To replace the exhaust pipe suspension pad, move the pad with a screwdriver..




4.... and remove it from the pipe bracket.



5. Remove the pillow from the hole in the side member of the body, overcoming the elastic resistance of its rubber array.



6. Similarly remove a pillow of a suspension bracket of a forward part of the main muffler.

7. Establish pillows of a suspension bracket of an exhaust pipe and a forward part of the main muffler in an order, the return to removal. To facilitate the installation of pillows, lubricate the brackets on the exhaust pipe and muffler, as well as the tails of the pillows, with soapy water.
