Replacing the fuel pressure pulsation compensator

The fuel pressure pulsation compensator is installed at the end of the fuel rail and serves to maintain a constant fuel pressure in the rail when it drops sharply in the fuel line, caused, for example, by a significant increase in fuel consumption during intensive acceleration of the car.

You will need a socket «for 8».



1. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a compensator of pulsations of pressure of fuel..



2.... and remove the compensator from its socket in the fuel rail.

NOTE: The compensator is sealed in the fuel rail seat with a rubber ring.

NOTE: Pry off the ring with a screwdriver…

NOTE:... and remove it from the compensator body. Replace a severely compressed, hardened or torn ring.

NOTE: Pay attention to the labeling of the compensator. Purchase a compensator with the same marking.

3. Install the fuel pressure pulsation compensator in the reverse order of removal.
