Replacing the gasket of the collector

A sealing gasket made of a thin molded metal strip is installed between the flanges of the cylinder head and the collector.



In case of violation of the tightness of this gasket, the exhaust gases break out, accompanied by a characteristic sharp sound (collector «flogs»). If the malfunction cannot be eliminated by tightening the collector mounting, replace the gasket.
