Removal and installation of electric components of seats

Heated seats

1. Heating elements are built into the cushions and backrests of both front seats.

2. The upholstery must be opened to access them, so contact your dealer if service is required.

3. Heat tracing switches can be removed (paragraph 4).

4. When diagnosing system problems, see paragraphs 2, 3 and wiring diagrams at the end of this chapter.

Power Seat Components

5. The electric drive has only the driver's seat. Moreover, only on models equipped in accordance with the maximum level of service, in addition to the seat height adjustment electric drive, other seat adjustment electric drives are installed.

6. To access the electric motors, remove the driver's seat (chapter 11).

7. The motors are mounted on a frame that is bolted to the seat base. Before removing the engine, locate its electrical connector by tracking the wiring coming from the engine (see fig.33.7).



8. Turn out bolts of fastening of a frame (see fig.33.8) or engine mounting bolts and remove the components from the seat base.



9. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. For reliable operation, it is recommended to periodically lubricate the rubbing surfaces and seat slides with grease.

10. Power seat switches can be removed (paragraph 4).
