GPS navigation system

This system is installed on late release models on request. It uses a radio signal from global positioning system satellites and an electronic map of the terrain stored on optical disk to determine the location and plot the vehicle's course.

The system receives vehicle position information from satellites using an antenna. With the help of signals from the ABS wheel sensors, the system determines the distance traveled. The system also includes a compass. The CD changer communicates between the navigation unit and the display located on the audio unit.

The navigation unit reads the electronic map of the area from the optical disk, and also processes the data received using the antenna, wheel sensors, compass, and gives instructions to the display.

Generation 1 or 2 systems available (RNS 1,2), which also differ in the arrangement of components. For system malfunctions, please contact your dealer.
