Withdrawal
1. Open the hood, disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. From inside the passenger compartment, remove the facing from the middle pillar and pull out the moisture sealer from the bottom of the doorway.
3. Remove the clips and screws and remove the lower side trim to access the hood release lever (see fig. 9.3).
4. Release the cable sheath from the arm bracket.
5. Turn out screws of fastening of the lever. Turn the lever clockwise a quarter of a turn to disengage it from the cable.
6. Remove the grille (paragraph 7). Also remove the rear panel from the front cross member of the engine compartment.
7. Release the cable and its sheath from the lock.
8. Pull the cable out of the engine compartment, passing it through the front cross member, taking into account the removal of the bushing from the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
Installation
9. Installation - in the reverse order of removal.
