Removal and installation of moldings and stickers

Withdrawal

1. Slip a strong thread or fishing sand under the molding or emblem. Pull the thread, as if sawing the element separated from the body, to destroy the adhesive joint (see fig. 25.1).



2. Thoroughly clean adhesive residue from the body panel with methyl alcohol.

Installation

3. Peel off the protective paper from the back of the new badge or molding. Carefully install the element to be glued onto the panel without touching the adhesive coating. Briefly press the molding or emblem against the panel for a secure bond.
