Removal and installation of a glove box

Withdrawal

1. Open the glove box. Using a screwdriver, gently press on the side of the glove box near its hinge to release the glove box from the plastic retainer (see fig. 32.1).



2. Remove the glove box. Where necessary, disconnect the drawer lighting wiring harness connector.

3. If necessary, you can remove the drawer lock. To do this, unscrew the screws and remove the lock plate and spring (see fig. 32.3).



4. To remove the lock cylinder, squeeze the elastic stoppers.

Installation

5. Install the cylinder in the lock plate so that the latches are in position.

6. Squeeze the latch fingers together and insert the right finger into the lock plate.

7. Install the spring and insert your left finger into the lock plate.

8. Install the lock plate and tighten the screws.

9. Connect the electrical connector of the wiring and install the glove box, seat it completely on the plastic clips.
