Removal and installation of the pressure limiting valve (without ABS)

            0

Note: see warning at the beginning paragraph 15 about careful handling of brake fluid.

Withdrawal

1. On non-ABS models, two of these valves are installed on the master cylinder outlets and connect to the rear brake lines.

2. Unscrew the cover of the reserve tank and remove the liquid from it (paragraph 11).

3. Cover the master cylinder with rags to catch smudges.

4. Wipe the valve to be removed. While holding the valve with a wrench, unscrew the connection nut. Pull out the pipe by bending it slightly away from the valve.

5. Remove valve from master cylinder.

6. Please note that the valves in the primary and secondary circuits have threads of different diameters so as not to mix them up during installation. The thread diameter of the primary circuit valve is 12 mm and the secondary circuit valve is 10 mm (see fig. 18.6).

Installation

7. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Finally, bleed the air from the hydraulic system (paragraph 15).
