1. Remove the trailer and its lock nut from the tie rod (paragraph 35). The trailer and rod must have marks for subsequent correct installation in order to maintain the angles of the front wheels.
2. Disconnect a cover from the case of the steering mechanism. To do this, release it from the clamp and plastic tape installed at its ends.
3. Disconnect the breather from the cover, then pull the cover off the rod. Scrape out the old grease from the boot. Wipe the seating surfaces on the steering gear housing and tie rod.
5. Pull a new cover on draft and the case of the steering mechanism. Install a breather.
6. Install a new plastic band and a new clip.
7. Install the tie rod end switch (paragraph 35).
8. Check and adjust front wheel alignment as soon as possible (paragraph 36).
