Replacing the tie rod end switch

Withdrawal


1. Apply the parking brake. Loosen the corresponding wheel nuts. Raise the front end and place it on stands. Remove the front wheel.

2. Use a wrench to loosen the end stop lock nut a quarter of a turn. At the same time, hold the limit switch from turning by its flats with another key (see fig.36.2).



3. Pull out the cotter pin. Loosen the ball joint nut of the limit switch.

4. Separate the hinge (see fig.36.4).



5. Unscrew the trailer from the tie rod, counting the number of revolutions required for this. Hold the pull with the tool if necessary.

Installation


6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
