Withdrawal
1. Support the front wheels with wedges. Then lift the back of the car and place it on stands. Remove the corresponding rear wheel. Release the parking brake.
2. Place a mobile jack or support under the rear lower control arm to hold the spring compressed.
3. Remove the ABS sensor (in the presence of - see chapter 9).
Models with drum brakes
4. Remove the brake drum (chapter 9).
5. Disconnect the brake hose from the bracket mounted on the rear suspension beam (chapter 9).
Models with disc brakes
6. Remove the brake disc (chapter 9).
All models
7. Remove the rear hub (paragraph 17).
8. Remove the rear shield or mudguard. On models with drum brakes, support the rear shield on a support to prevent damage to the handbrake cable.
9. Turn out a bolt of the bottom support of the shock-absorber.
10. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the jet lever to an axis support.
11. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the forward lower lever to an axis support (see fig. 18.11).
12. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the top lever to an axis support (see fig.18.12).
13. Support the axle support. Then unscrew the bolt securing the rear lower arm to the axle support and remove the axle support (see fig.18.13).
Installation
14. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the mounting bolts of the rubber bushings completely only after loading the suspension with the required torque. If the brake hose has been disconnected, bleed the hydraulic system (chapter 9). Finally, check and adjust the rear wheel alignment (paragraph 36).
