Withdrawal
1. Park the vehicle on a firm level surface, open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable (chapter 5 paragraph 1).
2. Raise the front of the car and place it on supports.
3. Remove the two screws and remove the sensor cover from the front of the sump (see fig. 19.3).
4. Disconnect the sensor wiring connector (see fig. 19.4). If necessary, disconnect the connector to disconnect the sensor wiring from the harness and unplug the connector to remove the wiring from the vehicle.
5. Unscrew the sensor and immediately plug the hole in the sump formed after its removal to reduce leaks. Pay attention to the sensor seals.
Installation
6. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Replace the sensor seal if it is worn and/or damaged and tighten the sensor mount to the correct torque. Check engine oil level and top up if necessary (Chapter 1).
Immediately after starting the engine and warming it up to normal operating temperature, check for oil leaks.
