Repair operations performed without removing the engine

1. The following operations can be performed without removing the engine from the vehicle:
  • A) Removal and installation of intake and exhaust manifolds
  • b) Removal and installation of timing chains, tensioners and chain guides
  • V) Removal and installation of camshafts and hydraulic lifters
  • G) Removal, repair and installation of block heads
  • d) Removal and installation of the pallet
  • e) Removal and installation of the oil pump
  • and) Replacing crankshaft seals
  • h) Removal and installation of the flywheel / faceplate
  • And) Removal and installation of support of the engine/transmission
  • To) Removal and installation of connecting rod and piston groups

2. In the event that you do not have the necessary equipment, repair or replacement of piston rings, pistons, connecting rods and connecting rod bearings can be performed after removing the pallet without removing the engine from the car. However, to improve access and maintain cleanliness, these operations should be performed after the engine has been removed. Therefore, they are described in chapter 2B.
